Legend ’’STONE hanging’’ And Parapat city
Stone is one of the hanging object is frequently visited by people who come to the city of LAKE TOBA or Parapat, its location right on the edge of Lake Toba. North Sumatera.
Here's the story of the legend of "Hanging Rock"
Once upon a time, in a remote village on the outskirts of Lake Toba North Sumatera, there lived a husband and wife with a beautiful daughter named Seruni. Toki understand if the employer requires his help, but he can not do anything except just barking at the mouth of the hole. Seruni screamed a few times for help, but the Toki really can’t to help her. Finally she was getting desperate.
"I would rather die than live a long life with a man who does not love me, "Seruni surrender.
Stone walls began to close.
Seruni said "Parapat .. parapatlah ... stone" Seruni ask the stone to move closer.
Toki kept barking. because they feel unable to help his master, he ran back home to ask for help.
"Toki.. where's Seruni?"asked the father to the dog's Seruni.
Toki kept barking while running around as if to say that the Seruni are in danger. Chrysanthemum like his parents understand the meaning of Toki, Seruni parents immediately took the torch to look for Seruni, and bring some neighbors.
After that they followed the Toki. Once they were in the fields, Toki toward the mouth ofthe hole. Then he barked into the hole to notify the people that are in Seruni bottom of the hole.
Seruni parents immediately approached the mouth of the hole. They were surprised when they saw a hole big enough rock on the edge of their fields. In the hole was heard the faint sound of a woman:
"Parapat (merapatlah) ...! Parapat (merapatlah) stone ... Parapat (merapatlah)!
People immediately illuminate the hole with a torch. light the torch but can’t see the Seruni because it is very dark hole.
"Seruni ... my son! This mother and father came to help you! "His mothers houted.
A few times they called, but didn’t get a response from the Seruni. Only voice drifted Seruni who sent the stone closer to squeezing.
"*Parapat (merapatlah) ...! Parapatlah (merapatlah) stone ...! Parapatlah (merapatlah)!
The people in attendance at the place trying to help. One resident held a rope to the bottom of the hole, but the rope wasn’t touched at all. Seruni’s father increasingly concerned with the state of his son. He also decided to follow her foray into the rock pit.
